Daily Mail reporting on Golf Cheating!

In fairness to the Mail I would class them as a decent authority on golf. Their golf writer, Derek Lawrenson, is one of the best out there. They broke the McIlroy story a few weeks back that he felt more British, than Irish. Bit biased as I work for them.

As for the story itself, it's more of a 'disharmony in the stuffy corridors of the elite' piece I suppose. Most non golfers will probably have a good laugh about it and not care too much. But at a club level it is quite a problem I believe.

You're on dodgy ground even alluding to this sort of stuff on a forum but have my own suspicions about one or two individuals. I'm sure most club golfers do.

However his detractors claim they have been forced to act following an alleged incident at the annual club knock-out competition this autumn, he is he alleged to have pocketed an opponent’s lost ball while pretending to look for it.

Kind of reminds me of a Golfers Dilema
