I downloaded the latest Android Software on my Galaxy Nexus last week and I'm regretting it now.

The phone randomly restarts now. It'll be on the couch and next thing i see is the boot animation.

I almost never get mobile internet any more , the phone would have full signal but no little H / 3G icon (I'm on Meteor)

Also i find the phone alot more laggy now, it used to be really fast seamless. Now it struggles to run a live wallpaper :(

Any body experiencing something similar ?

Try factory reset after the update, seems to be what most Android phones need these days after an update.

Suppose I could do that, I'd lose alot on the on the phone though

Ye i know, i was thinking about Messages and other stuff that is harder to back up.

I also noticed the Shuffle function on the music player is acting up, most songs never shuffle for me

Would recommend SMS Backup & Restore - link.

If rooted, I'd recommend Titanium Backup for most of your backup needs.

Did a reset last night, seems to be better but still no mobile internet.

Is it possible that some settings where removed as part of the update? Anybody know what settings i need to change to get it back (besides enable mobile internet :p)

You need to edit the APN according to your carriers specifications.

Eg. The three APN settings are below.
    Name: 3
    APN: 3ireland.ie
    Proxy: not set
    Port: not set
    Username: not set
    Password: not set
    Server: not set
    MMSC: not set
    MMS Proxy: not set
    MMS Port: not set
    MCC:272
    MNC: 05
    Authentication Type: None
    APN Type: default,supl
    APN Protocol: IPv4

For MMS APN all are the same until MMSC, so they are now as follows:

    MMSC: http://mms.um.3ireland.ie:10021/mmsc
    MMS Proxy: mms.3ireland.ie
    MMS Port: 8799
    MCC: 272
    MNC: 05
    Authentication Type: none
    APN Type: mms
    APN Protocol: IPv4
