The local football club held an agm meeting on firday. I was not there cause i'm out of the country but I got a text today telling me who is the new welfare officer.

The thing is I'm am 100% not happy with this person doing the job. As my mother use to mind this persons kids and they use to come to her telling her that there parents beat them them up etc. The oldest one day told my mother his dad hit him in his back with a hurl. I have been in the house where the kids have been smacked to an inche of there life. The said person would hit them so hard they would fly across the room.

I just feel this person is so wrong for the job. With what the said person does too there kids. Is there anyone I could speak to on how I feel? The family are well knewn for gossiping in the area. So I can't see this person keeping this to there self with anything that goes on with the kids within the club.

there kids parents would prefer them to be the bully than the victim.

go to the club chairperson and outline your concerns

if that doesn't suffice, make your concerns known to the underage chairperson as a lot of the stuff will be dealing with kids

That is the best advice ever given on this forum.........wait no sorry not best what is the word again, oh yeah NO!

Go speak to the chairperson and raise your concerns ASAP if there is any worry where children are concerned.

Hmmm, this complicates matters somewhat. Leave it with me, I'll come up with something else.

OP - Are you on your own with these concerns or is there anyone that shares your concerns as there will always be strength in numbers other than that have a discrete word with the juvenile co-ordinator or the club chairperson..

    Don't slap anyone btw!!

Folks, recommending violence against someone is against the boards rules.

Op, your course of action would be to speak to the Club Chairperson then the County Board and then your provincial council.

I've decided a slap may not have been the best advice, I hope you didn't act on it yet? Perhaps it would be best to discuss it with another adult member of the Club and see if your reservations hold weight, or perhaps you are just overreacting to what you have heard. Be careful, you could land yourself in serious trouble if you are found to be working off bad information.

It is not bad information. I have seen it with own eyes and in my house.
