Hi :) I think I have a virus! Ads keep popping up on the right hand side of my browser window (even though I have pop ups blocked). How can I check if I actually have a virus? Thanks

I'm posting this from a tablet so hard to link but on top of this forum there are a few stickies, have a look at them and follow the excellent advice posted there. Malwarebytes seems to be a decent piece of software to help you get rid of baddies.

    Download OTL to your Desktop
    • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
    • Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings. The scan wont take long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
    • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files here
