Carlow-Killerig road closed

    The road was closed earlier, just saw on aaroadwatch that it was due to a fatal collision.Sympathy to anyone involved.

    An investigation is underway after a man died in a single vehicle road traffic collision in Co Carlow.
    The accident occurred shortly before 4pm at Slaneyquarter on the Tullow to Castledermot road around 3km outside Tullow.
    The driver, a 42-year-old man, who was the sole occupant in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to a local undertakers.
    The road was closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination, and has now re-opened.
