Technika 32-270, can't have dvd scart in when watching tv

I have just bought a Technika 32-270 in Tesco. My previous tv had 3 scarts so I had dvd and dvrs going directly in. As this has only 1 scart I put the two scarts into a scart jack. However, the dvr only works if the scart lead for the dvd is not plugged in. I can't have a situation where I have to plug in the scart everytime I want to use the dvd. My dvd only has a single scart so I can't put the dvr into dvd and dvd then into tv.

Any suggestions? Tesco says there is a 28 day no quibble return policy, so if you think I should just return and buy another open to suggestions (reasonably priced).

    Thanks.

Why not try a switched scart box.Usually three inputs and a single output for the tv. You just switch on the input you want to watch by pushing its button on the switch. TMULL
