I had this post in the investments section of boards.ie but got no luck... I know you guys reply to posts so i said i would throw it up here :)

I have never bought shares before but i would like to start buying a few when ever i have the money to!

    I have a few questions..

    1) is there a minimum amount of money that you can spend on shares?

    2) How do i go about buying shares? I mean is it just a matter of going into a bank and telling them you want to spend 'x' amount of money on 'x' shares?

Any replies would be appreciated :)

    Ah, come on!
This is a Farming & Forestry subject, how, exactly?

You posted your question in the Investments & Markets forum (EXACTLY the right place for it) at 5 o'clock on a Sunday evening, and 2 hours later gave up on that forum and came here???

I'd give it a day or two over there to give the lads in the smart suits a chance to respond, before striking out for pastures new.

Here's a thread in I&M that might be of interest in the meantime:
    How do you buy shares?

Anyhow, Off Topic for THIS forum, so thread closed.
