Hi all. Have any of you come across this one. I have a Garmin edge 305 with the hr and speed/cadence sensors. I recently built up a new bike so I bought another stem mount and speed/cadence sensor, and have no problem pairing both sensors with the main unit, but they both cannot be paired at the same time. In other words if I have one sesor paired and I decide to use my new bike, I have to go through the menu and restart the scan to pick up the new sensor. Likewise when I want to return to the first bike, I have to restrart scan again. Is this right? I would have thought that both could be paired at the same time without having to go through the menu every time you decide to change from one bike to another.

Does that gps have an option to set up a 2nd bike? I think the 500 does.

Yes it does. You can set up 3 bikes' but as I say all individually as far as I can see.

I had that problem before and it got to a point where I thought the cadence sensorss were broken. Anyway, what works for me is to not turn on your Garmin on until you're well away from home (or wherever you store the rest of your other, paired bike).

You need to hold down the mode button on the Garmin, this will bring up a pop up window where you can select which of you bikes you'll be riding.

The Garmin can associte 1 sensor with each bike profile

you just have to get into the habit of remebering to select the correct bike profile when you swap the Garmin over to the other bike.

Great. Does that mean that once the sensors are paired ( 2 in my case) that they dont need to be paired every time you change bikes
