Blops II - Yay or Nay

Okay so its only been out nearly 3 weeks, but a good few of ye on here seem to have bought/played this game and I'd be interested to hear the general verdict on Black Ops II.

I've seen there are nearly 3 times as many posts in the Megabitch thread as the Sunshine and Lollipops which tells me plenty, but just to give people who might be waiting til Christmas to pick this up - worth it or worth avoiding?

The main thing people moan about is the lag. But that's nothing really got to do with the actual game created.

Some people complaining could be domination players, FFA players, hardcore players etc. so it's different perspectives. I'm generally an SND player so i don't experience some of the other things people moan about.

What about the point system for Search? I am a sd player only and I stopped playing it because it is just not working for me... lag is one of many issues...

the lag comp and headglitching at the moment is a deal breaker(voted filth avoid!)

like the way they have the class fit outs done.

also like the way they thought about the perks and solved some of the issues with them(ghost only working when moving,scavenger only dropping packs from gun/knife kills stopping people spamming the map with claymores etc)

Think I've only posted in the Megabitch thread and not the sunshine one but still think it's a good game. It's just when you run into a bad lobby it's unplayable. Happens to me maybe one in ten games.

Game's seriously noob friendly. Can't complain cos I'm running PDW (laser sight & fast mags) and four other perks :rolleyes:

Really enjoy it when you are in a game with less lag but when lag is bad its almost unplayable. Great class system, mostly good maps and has the great lelevellung bases unlocking system as Mw3.

I voted not great, but really I should have voted the second option. It's not the game thats bad, its actually great sometimes, but as others have said, if everything doesn't fall into place regarding lag etc. then it really is pretty much unplayable. Hopefully the problems will be ironed out soon enough.

I voted to go for it!

It is a decent game, you can have some billiant games when you are in a great lobby.

Downsides of course is the headglitching, just so much of it. I won't even start on the lag compensation. Hoping this will be fixed though soon enough.

Definitely worth a punt for an xmas gift.

I'm absolutely loving it the last few nights, been doing well and getting some decent scorestreaks, sure there's annoyances, the lag is painful at times and hardly anyone uses assault rifles as its all smgs, but meh, bullets are bullets. most enjoyable COD since 4 imo.

The megabitch threads always have more posts than the sunshine and lollypops threads. You take for granted the 90% of things out of a hundred a developer got right but you'll gouge out their eyes with chopsticks for the 10 or so things they got wrong.

Black Ops 2: 582 vs 197 ~ 33%
MW3: 4620 vs 1111 ~ 24%
Black OPs: 2555 vs 672 ~ 26%
MW2: 1884 vs 1674 ~ 89%

Those ratios would suggest that Mw2 is the best in the series.

Worth noting that the MW2 threads weren't created until near march, almost 4 months after release.. which is after you typically get most of the whinging etc. People that hate the game have usually stopped playing/traded the game in long before that !

Yeah there was no threads made during WaW or CoD4/3/2 so it's not a true record of the series, I was using it as an example of how the megabitch threads are always larger than the sunshine & lollypops and weren't a good barometer to judge a game.

I have had hardly any lag problems I just did not enjoy it as much as Black Ops 1. Will be trading it in tomorrow or the day after.

Voted for the not great option , picked up both a PS3 and 360 version and for me the PS3 version has been a fuc*ing big disappointment , lag all over the shop, sound drop outs and system lock ups.

The 360 version has had alot less lag and no system lock ups but the odd server error, especially with Zombies.

Trading in the PS3 version and keeping the 360 version for the kids, but for me I'm done with it.

I've enjoyed the PC version so far, I haven't come across too much to complain about, the odd crap spawn or camping jackass, but overall it's been some of the most fun I've had playing CoD in a good while.
