Winter clothing, winter boots, ski gear and thermal underwear on sale in Aldi this morning.

    http://aldi.ie/ie/html/offers/offers_week49Sunday12.htm

We went up at 9 30am and there was a que of about 60 people outside Aldi at that stage.

By 10am (opening time) there was at least double that amount standing outside.

It was absolute chaos inside with everyone barging in and battling each other to get all the winter boots and ski gear.

It was like a real life version of the gameshow..."Supermarket Sweep".:D

Mens and ladies winter boots and ski-wear seemed to be on everyones shopping list.

Glad I got in with the first group of 20 so.:)

Lol,the country is broke & people are fighting over ski wear.:pac:

Maybe it was the thermal underwear they wanted as they can't afford to heat their homes.

Drive to queue up with people in the cold to buy something to queue up in the cold for future offers, no thanks.

Those folk are behind the times. I sit at home and buy it online from better retailers and some chump in a green van brings it to my house. :D

While a baldy little gnome from Limerick is probably sitting in his jocks, in 100deg heat that they pay for, dreaming up ways to make it less affordable.

They have 20 bottles of beer for €13.99,the packaging looks very similar to Carlsberg's.

Is it just me , but during the colder months my thoughts turn to

    steaming bowls of SOUP,

not slabs of Ice Cold Piss.....

as they say in Germany , "Piss in.... Piss out....." thats wrong "Pills in Piss out..."

I'm picturing a car park full of '12 BMW's and frantic shoppers bowling over each other "I simply MUST get these half price ski boots for Fintan"

    I dont get it!
Aldi ski gear is fine and all, but 18euro more will get you 8k breathable & waterproof trousers in Tk Maxx...
Thats crazy that theres such a queue for questionable gear...

99.9% of the people queuing would break their hips walking out the front door, nevermind tearing down a mountain.

They are nice and cosy alright, -11C with me this morning, still using the pair I bought in Aldi 3 years ago.

Just be sure to keep your receipt, some of the top hooks for the laces pulled away on mine the 2nd. or 3rd. time I used them hopefully thy have sorted that out by now but just in case! The laces on mine are good and long so I just wrapped them around the ankle instead still loads of wear in them.

and a lot of this as well.

And never forget that is what fianna fail has reduced the people to.
pensioners scrapping over cheap thermal underwear in advance of this weeks budget.

Had intended getting some for the kids for sports but no point now obviously
