Getting a job between initial JSA application and first payment

    Hi,

I had a look through the FAQ and the official website but couldn't find an answer to my question. I applied for JSA a number of weeks ago; filled out all the necessary forms, had a final meeting with an officer to determine whether I was eligible according to a means test etc. I was waiting to hear when I would be able to collect my first payment and I heard that I had got a job. I cancelled my application/signed off online. Does anyone know if I can still receive payment for the weeks between my first application and the date I started work?

    Thanks

Ah good stuff. Thanks for the answer. Is it sent out as a cheque? Don't suppose you have an idea as to how long it takes to arrive?
