what was the episode, where Mike and Steve talk to a woman by her swimming pool? There have been episodes with pool scenes, but in this particular one to be more specific the top of the woman's bikini was fastened for her, just before she talks to Steve and Mike. Thanks in advance

    No-one knows, then?

I'd say peoples memory of a very specific detail of a show that hasn't been on tv for about 20 years are a little hazy at this stage to be fair!

Use the love that show, but it hasn't been on TV for 15 years.
I can't remember scenes from shows I watched last week, never mind 15 years ago! :)

What a strange request? Do you have an abiding memory of this and want to know who the actress is or something??? In 70's shows you often have scenes of posh ladies being interviewed by detectives by pools and they often get up and walk over and get a robe before walking into the house to talk to the detectives etc. :) Lots of it in Columbo etc

What was special about this???? Go on tell us......;)

Might be worth a try - I used to love the show - can't believe how long ago it is.

Fair play! So the actress is either Marianne McAndrew or Anne Helm?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,429 ✭✭✭branie

More than likely it's Anne Helm

    Epilogue

    Epilogue

    Why do you say that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,161 ✭✭✭frag420

Because each episode was split into scenes and just before the last scene the word 'epilogue' showed on the screen.

That's right. They did that in all Quin Martin Productions like The Fugtive

They parodied the 'rich woman at the pool' scene in the Dragnet film with Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd.

Talking to the man, though. Thanks for the clip anyway

Now I'm trying to find out the woman's name. It's either Lori or Mrs. Bobo Standfield.

Just meant going on about a minor character actor in one episode of a show from 40 years ago, plenty of contemporary beauties in current shows to lust after anyways ie Jessica Paré in Mad Men!

My fav beauty and actress is Gwyneth Paltrow

And what episode of The Streets of San Francisco did she appear in ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,429 ✭✭✭branie

She wasn't in it. One of the other posters i said that I was a tad obssesive about an actress that was in the scene that I described. So I wrote the Gwyneth Paltrow reply to prove that I liked other actresses

Oh course though, the woman was pretty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,429 ✭✭✭branie

I just found out her name. It's Mrs. Bobo Standfield, played by Anne Helm

There was no need for a separate thread. It was directly related to this one.

    Ok, thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,429 ✭✭✭branie

Now that I have the episode title and character name, I can tell you that the scene (esp the fastening of Mrs. Stanfield's bikini top) has stuck in my mind since I first saw it. It really took me by surprise.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,429 ✭✭✭branie

I had a dream about the scene last night

Your posts make me more uncomfortable than the time I witnessed a hobo try and molest a pigeon.

    More than a little creepy...

I found a line from the scene I was looking for. It's this.

    "Oh, they're early.
Hurry up Frank, make me decent.
    Law and order have arrived."
