want to shift from eye glasses to contacts. help?

    Hey guys, I am using eye glasses since past 3 years but now want to try contacts. But I have heard they are not safe..is it true?? I visited a Killeen eyecare center they said I just have to take precautions. Can anyone give me some tips and suggestions..:confused:
