I was in the middle of flossing when part of a white filling on one of my back teeth came away. I can feel a jagged edge and a hole but no pain. It's Sunday tomorrow so won't get to a dentist. Will I be able to/ should I eat and brush my teeth tomorrow? Also am 3 months pregnant so will the dentist do a new filling for me on Monday? Thanks in advance...

There will be no problem getting the filling redone with a local anaesthetic assuming it is straight forward which most are. Brush away but avoid the chipped tooth. If you need a pain reliever try OTC ibuprofen. There are brand names with a plus which contain codeine which are very good for dental pain. If you are in trouble there are out of hours services

Op, ibuprofen and codeine are contraindicated in pregnancy, DO NOT FOLLOW THIS ADVICE.

Yeah don't avoid the chipped tooth when brushing either, having bacteria swarming on it is not a good idea either. Go to the dentist and get it fixed, if it's a big job it may be put off until your post partem, and the tooth temporised.

if it just part of a white filling and it is not hurting you now it can be repaired without local anaesthetic tomorrow-safer method and you will feel cold air on tooth for about 2 seconds.keep it clean in the meantime, avoid acidic drinks, apply a fluoride toothpaste to area n youll be fine
