How Often can you Apply for Planning Permission for a House?

    Hi Guys,

Suppose I buy a site in Dublin that has full planning permission for a particular house.

I don't like the house style so want to build something different.

Supposing I apply for planning permission for a new design of house and it gets turned down (neighbours object to it as it looks to different, think it's too big etc). How soon can I apply again with a modified or different design?

Can I keep submitting proposals till one is accepted that I'm happy with?

I realise that it's probably easiest to meet with the planners and discuss what is feasible and then submit a plan accordingly, but I'm just wondering in theory if I could keep submitting plans or if there is a limit?

    Thanks in advance!
