The more you drive the more your insurance, or rather the less you drive, the cheaper your insurance.
Would you let an insurance company monitor your driving habits to have cheaper insurance?

they seem to know everything, next door had to give up work due to dibeties, the same week his insurance went up 1k due to health issues, he did not imform them.

    No.

No. And how could an insurance possibly know that a client had health issues unless otherwise informed by the client? I would look into that if it were me.

    Rubbish.

Unless it just happened to be at renewal time, his insurance can't just "go up."

Meh as my insurance is already priced according to the information i give why should i give them another stick to beat me with ?

No. I wouldn't trust them to not share my information without my consent.

I don't even have a supermarket loyalty card for the same reasons.

Oh and I work in Insurance.

    Not a hope.

Back when I was playing £2700 for insuring a 1.1 litre car, I'd probably have considered it if there was enough of a discount on offer. If I got the max 30% discount, that could have been worth it.

But my insurance is low enough these days for me to enjoy a bit of privacy.

Not even if they offered it to me for free would I let them put any kind of tracker in my car.

They can't do that (anymore). If your are issued with a licence, having declared your condition, insurers cannot load the premium. Also never heard of a link between the medical profession and the insurance industry without agreement from the client

This isn't a new idea and being honest, could be a good idea for young drivers . In saying that, I'd not allow them monitor me or my vehicles usage.
