Reddy's Gift Shop/Ryan & Sons, Thomastown

Hi! I'm an Architecture Student and i'm doing some research into Reddy's Gift Shop/ Ryan & Sons (the old Tannery) in Thomastown for a conservation project. I've found very little information on the building itself and absolutely no old photos, anyone able to help me? I'm taking a trip to the Thomastown library during the week, but I thought I'd ask here first!

You could try the Kilkenny archaeological society located in Rothe House, Parliament Street, Kilkenny. They are not just concerned with archaeology but with everything to do with Kilkenny life in the city and county over the years.

You could also try the Local Studies department in Kilkenny County Library, which is located in Johns Green, Kilkenny. They have a lot of resources regarding life in Kilkenny city and county.

I don't know if they have what you are looking for but they might be able to guide you in the right direction.

There are a couple of excellent local history books in the library in Thomastown.
From memory, one written by a woman called Siverman (I think) with a section on former businesses.
I do remember Ryan's hardware in the 70's. Real old style shop
