Deadline for deferring an exam.

I have three exams next week. The first one is on Monday.

I got a letter from a counsellor late on Friday noting that they had seen me and agreeing that due to my circumstances I should defer those exams.

Trouble is that I did not forward the deferral application and supporting letter to the department (although I dropped it off at the student information desk.)

My question is. If I go to uni on Monday and submit the application, will I be able to get the Monday exam (9.30am sitting) deferred?

I would guess that you should be able, but I've never deferred an exam so I don't know. I'm fairly sure that people who get, say, the runs, and have a doctor's note, can defer the exam after the event, no?
I'm not sure, mind - I'm sure someone else will have been through those hoops.
