4 part drama starting on Monday on Channel 4 (and nothing to do with RTE's poor attempt at comedy). Running on consecutive days, finishing on Thursday.

    Looks pretty good!

Four nights on the bounce at 10 pm is a right pain in the arse. Still with +1 and maybe 4seven helping out it can be done.

Anyone else watch The Fear on Channel 4. It was unreal a long time since a good crime / gangster drama from the UK.

I've been hearing good things. Have it set to record so might get around to watching it next weekend.

I got the fear, bloody brilliant.
Just watched it tonight, will be watching again
Peter Mullan , fear and menacing in Brighton

For me it seems like a cross between James Cagney going mental in White Heat and Bob Hoskins also going a bit mental and getting his arse kicked in The Long Good Friday.

Whether The Fear turns out to be a classic obviously depends on what happens next :D

Great stuff,a few scenes could be hard to watch for those of a sensitive nature.
The part on the beach with Richies's son and the Albanians being one.

Peter Mullan's character,Richie descending into dementia adds to the chaos as his world unravels both around him & in his mind.
Looking forward to the finale tomorrow night.

Fantastic show; plot, acting, production, everything bang on. Reminds me a little of the slew of dark Scandinavian imports doing the rounds, a lot of the usual grim & desolate shots and the overriding negativity throughout.
Perfect pacing too, with only 4 episodes there is absolutely no filler. I very rarely watch TV live any more, usually record to watch later but I'm hooked and can't wait for the finale tonight. I'll be sitting through my first ad breaks in years! The only shame is that it'll be over so soon.

ive watched all 3-i usually like this sort of stuff
I thinks its been dissapointing tbh
-the action seems lame and peter mullens gang are soo timid
-his wifes been the best thing in it for me

I find the way it's been dragging along infuriating, with nothing much going on and old Richie doing a lot of blank staring and repetitive reminiscing. I think it's 95% Alzheimer's related and 5% for everything else.

Four hours wasted on what went out like a damp squib.:(

It was about as far from being a classic as you can possibly get.

don't think i'll be rushing to catch up on it
he's prob a good actor but the alzheimers and action were dreary enough
