Apologies if this is in the wrong place..

Was hooking up a second SKY box to bedroom tv yesterday & couldn't get a connection using a spare SCART lead I had.

Then I noticed that it only had a few pins instead of the usual array...

    Any idea what its for?

It doesn't have RGB connections: only composite video, along with the audio inputs & outputs. It might have been intended for a VCR. You'll see the same pin setup on scart-to-phono (RCA) adaptors for games consoles & video senders.

Have a look on the SCART page on Wikipedia to check out what pins your missing. If its a SCART female to female cable you have in your hand, the maker cheap'd out :)
