Seriously. I actually think the site deliberately spells certain words incorrectly.

Edit because I spelled something wrong

Make a thread complaining about poor spelling and ensure that every single word in your post is spelled correctly.

Has to be the easiest way to irritate the After Hours regulars?

I never really noticed it until i started looking at the livestock ads for dad. Spelling 'heifer' as 'hiefer', 'Charolais' as 'Charlie' and so on.

Doesn't bother me so much, but I suppose people should make more of an effort with their ads.

    Don't be fooled; they're counterfeit moo-cows.

It's called Inglish (Irish version of English).

To be fair to the OP, there's a little bit of sloppiness or bad grammar. Both of which will get the grammar nazi's all riled up and then there's the semi literate drivel that's put on Donedeal.
Personally, my spelling isn't great. But my typing is far worse. Every time i make a post, I quickly scan it and remove the worst of the typing errors.

Don't know how to break this to you, but you won't find your Dad in the 'livestock ads' of DoneDeal.

The best of luck to you.
    Chin up!

Love when those "spelling nazis" get excited. Many of them are now unemployed and this is how they spend their time. Me mate sells hefers every feckin day on dundeal, he buys em for 400 and sells for 800 a few monts later and still tinks hes only maken ten per cent profit.
Cant do maths , cant feckin spell but he's loaded and he's also quite happy.:D:p:o

Ps most of the texters now spell just like him..

I tried to buy a phone on DoneDeal, sweet baby jesus, I'd need a degree in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics to figure out half those adverts.

Simply because they won't pay for a proper copywriter. They probably have the tea lady doing the copy.

You left out the full stop at the end of the second sentence.

I can't remember if it was donedeal or gumtree but i saw an ad in the musical instruments section lately:

"Free fiddle wanted for young daughters"

There's gonna be some interesting replies to that!
