Card Trick - Can't watch channels in "Other Channels" menu?

Anyone else having this issue. I have done the card trick but the channels revert to 998 after a moment or two. This evening I went to watch ITV2 though the "Other Channels" menu and that reverted to channel 998??

I had this problem for a while when viewing the channels via the blue button (favourites) but no problems with going into other channels and selecting a channel and viewing. In fact the missus watches the celeb/jungle thing every night on ITV HD.

In fact earlier tonight I asked her to view the programme via blue button and it stayed for exactly one hour which beats the previous failed attempts by about 59 minutes

My 'card trick channels' work fine via blue button but if you push the channel up or down button it shows channel 998 so you have to push the blue button again to watch any 'normal' channel.
