hi . i was just hoping for an opinion on having a child seat in a van.
i know that it has to be rear facing with air bag off but is it legal?
im farming and will get a van using my herd no. but will need to bring the young fella with me to leave him with my parents or childcare while im working. the van will be only for going to/from the farm and running into co-op etc then home. the wife will have the family car to go to her work and we use this for any social outings ().
question is am i breaking the law by using the van for carrying the young fella and what are the insurance implications ?
any advice/opinion or direction to the relevant authories would be great
    thanks ,cj

Assuming it is taxed as a commercial vehicle, if you are using the van for anything other than business purposes you will technically be breaking the law. You might remember you signed a declaration when taxing it.
