Videos on Facebook, also integrating Twitter...

    Hi,

In work we use social media, and I'm wondering about integrating Twitter with Facebook. From checking around it seems that this is a relatively straightforward thing to do. However, I'm wondering from those of you who have experience of this, are there disadvantages or any annoyances that come with integrating Twitter? If I post something via Twitter, and if it appears on FB, can it still be 'liked' even through it originated from Twitter?

On the video aspect, presumably this is also easy to do, but can you create an album or folders to keep your clips in one place?

    Thanks.

It can still be liked, it appears as any other update does.

    OK, thanks. :)

On Facebook, we sometimes we things like 'today we're visiting ______ college to talk about _____', or if a Students' Union has a page up and we share it, it will display their info and logo. Again, can this be done? If I post a SU link from Twitter, with the intention of it hitting FB, will it show their logo on our FB page, not just the text info?

From reading around it seems that some people are saying not to integrate Twitter because much of your audience won't understand the lingo of Twitter, etc.

As far as I know, it will not link the info on Facebook, just post the text. If you are not a prolific tweeter from the company account then it should be fine, however if there are likely to be more than a handful of tweets a day or a lot of tweets in quick succession, I wouldn't integrate the two as that many updates on Facebook could be seen as overkill even though it's perfectly fine on Twitter.

Indeed, if you integrate your FB/Twitter, and tweet "today we're visiting @BuffyBot's house", that's exactly what will appear on Facebook - just text. It can look at little lazy apart from anything else, IMHO and the @/twitter username might not mean much to the FB audience.

Long story short don't link Twitter and Facebook accounts, it's lazy and not effective. Both attract different types of users.
