    Hi all

We've just bought a new house and am a big fan of danish design. Have picked a couch from the new Soul shop in Beacon Quarter. Just wondering does anyone know anywhere that sells danish old style furniture or some retro pieces? We are travelling from Belfast tomorrow to have a look at some furniture so any reccommendations are welcome.

Having been to Dnemark several times, I do think that "Danish" design in Ireland isnt really danish but due to delivery costs cant buy in Denmark unfortunately!

Ebay is really great for getting original, ie non-reproduction Danish furniture. Originals such as G-plan,Mcintosh, Knoll, Eames are easy to come by and are generally in good condition. The downside is shipping them to Ireland, however alot of the ebay sellers ship to Ireland. Ireland really isnt that exposed to Danish/Mid Century furniture so we tend to get fed the scraps when something comes up on DoneDeal/Adverts etc. if in ebay, go to Antiques > Antique Furniture > 20th Century.

    good luck
