ECU in a 1999 Nissan Micra

    Hey Folks,

    The missus was heading home on the M1 last night when her car lost power. She called the AA and the chap said it was likely to be the ECU. I didn't know a Micra as old as that would have one.

    Are these easy to fix/replace? Would any garage be able to do the job. What's the likely cost?

    It's not a cheap job.

    First thing you need to do is to get a mechanic to actually diagnose what is wrong, no point speculating on what the AA guy said.

    Once you know what the problem is, then you can progress it from there.
