    Hi I'm going away for a month just after Xmas I will miss my sign on in jan what happens is there any easy way too sort this out or do I have to resign on again and do all the paperwork again this hoilday was booked and paid for before I was unemployed so I have too go any comments or help thanks ?..

    You just tell them in advance of when you are going and that you will miss your signing day.
    People take holidays while on the dole - it's nothing new.

    If you are getting Jobseeker's Allowance or Jobseeker's Benefit you can go on holiday for a maximum of 2 weeks and get the 2 weeks payment on your return.

    You must notify your social welfare local office before taking your holiday...''

    Notify them all the same. You'll only get paid for 2 weeks of that month upon your return.

    You can go for a max of 2 weeks

    Or Afaik you can travel abroad to look for work...look it up

    If you're going for 4 weeks you will not get paid for the 2 extra weeks.
