At the moment for me it's about 2-3 hours, at month end it's much busier, finding myself struggling to stay awake at times.

    Depends on the job.

Some places are winding down a little because the December-January time period is usually quite slow. I'm 'technically' in work right now, and will hurry to answer the phone if it rings, or deal with someone through the door.

But at the same time, not much is happening compared to summer.

I do all my tasks assigned to me. It's not like I'm getting paid millions. 34k is appropriate.

I'd prefer more work but letting management know they could easily let people go wouldn't really be in my best interests.

Really depends on the day- some days it's so dead there might only be an hour of work (not including dealing with customers). I just browse boards or drag out the work so I don't get given out to!

Other days, which have been in the majority since September, I'm so flat out I feel like I'm not getting anything done as the pile just keeps growing and growing :( (prefer it this way though, tis more fun when you're kept on your toes!)

Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh heh - and, uh, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour.

I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and sort of disagree with you there.

So I guess we should probably go ahead and have a little talk. :pac:

Roughly half. Other half is spent on here and Wikipedia as most other sites are blocked here. Facebook on my phone kills some time too... And cigarette breaks. Thank God for Cigarette breaks

As little as possible. I prefer to do tasks efficiently and occupy the resultant downtime with more meaningful pursuits such as YouTube and recipes for ziti than stretch them out to fill the time available. Except on busy days, when I do about a week's work in 8 hours.

It really depends. A lot of days I'm flat out, no time for lunch and end up working late. Then other days are quiet and I maybe only do actual work for about 4 hours. Really depends on the time of year and what's happening in and around the place.

Work in a call centre and i would say i maybe work 6 hours working and the other 3 are wasted on music , going outside for chats and break time lol

I am lucky if I fill a full 10 hours a week. Sounds great, but is boring a hell. Especially when you have no interest in what my colleagues are prattling on about.

Retail, so I work every second I'm in the place. Doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day on the way to Christmas for us!
