For muay thai skill and technique whilst fighting muay thai, I would say

    Steve Meleady
    Stephen Hodgers
    Andy Gray
    Mark Casserly
    Paul O Keefe
    Paddy Douglas.

    For best I'd say...
    -Stephen Meleady
    -Stephen Hodgers
    -Robert McGivern
    -Mark Casserly

    For most fun to watch...
-James O'Connell - Love a good clinch battle personally
-Paddy Douglas - Always a war
-JJ Power - Just always very technically good and slick
-Rob NG - Technically good, unpredictable

I want to put loads more for both but I'll limit myself to those few.

    k1 fighters....

I dont think there are any in Ireland, with a good K1 style, there are thai boxers who fight k1 and win, thats cos they are fighting MMA/kickboxers and they just always seem to have the edge on them.

most of the k1 in this country is a pile of sh*te, in fact most of the fight I have seen are muck, from a purely k1 scoring POV.

I have a lad Piotr Arcimowicz, who regulars trains in Holland and fights thai for me, he is very suited to K1, so apart from him I cant think of anyone, thats has an exciting K1 style

Cian Cowley is one to watch. If he keeps putting in performances like he did against Paul Budden he will be a serious talent.

    Brian Long

No body has said Aslan yet

When he has fought Thai in this country he has beat everyone in exciting fashion ( by KO or given them at least a few 8 counts )

And K1 suits him even more and he has done the same in that with whoever he has fought and they have come from good Thai back-rounds as well as kickboxing and other things.so i will go with Aslan for best K1 fighter

Best thai fighter AND most exciting for me is Stephen meleady by a mile,if he fought K1 he would kill anyone at his weight in Ireland(but i don't think he ever will )

I actually had Steo, Jono and Aslan on my original lists but I thought it looked completely bias in favor of Bridgestone so I limited myself to 1 from each gym :)

Got to give some of the girls a mention.

Felix and kelly creegan from bridgestone, both fought very well in thier last fights.

Being biased now Emma Pye from Dublin Thai, what i would call a rolls royce fighter:),if it was not for idots in the Uk who nows were she would have gone.

Elaine from Cork too, a good fighter, thats when she can get a fight.

Hodgers , Meleady , Casserly, and Aslan of course have to be up there. O Callaghan did great against Howson, he deserves praise for that. We have so many young great prospects coming through , Brian Long and Gavin Sheehan to mention a few from our club. O Connell from Hanuman last year was exciting but seemed to go quiet for some reason. Micheal Harty from Galway deserves a mention. We have so many good talented fighters in this country its frightening and too many to mention , in both organisations !!

For me, most of the A class fighters in the country are well worth watching. These lads always put on a good show and / or have a nice Thai style:

    Ste Meleady
    Jono Bracken
    Uvais / Aslan
    James O Connell
    Paul O Keefe
    Hodgers
    Andrew Doyle
    Andy Gray

edit: Bit of a bias from the IMF side there, but that's just because I see those shows more often.

    PADDY DOUGLAS
    EMMA PYE
    CONNOR O KEEFE
    SHANE O NEILL
    CIAN COWLEY
    ROBERT NG
    AARON O CALLAGHAN
    ANDY GRAY
    CIAN DUGGAN
    GARY ORMOND
    MARK CASSERLY
    ASLAN
    STEVE MELEADY
    NOT IN THIS RUNNING ORDER

Haha I know what you mean about Rays fights being wars but I did mean Paddy, always looks like he wants to stand and trade to see who toughest while being that bit more technical than Ray. Just fun to watch

Actually, with all this mulling over who is the best, I'd love to see the rankings get updated.... or dare I even say it... for someone to have a crack at a joined IMC/nonIMC all inclusive uber-ranking :)

Couple of years since the IMC one was updated I'd imagine.

I don't remember ever seeing a nonIMC ranking
