With images from southern and central Russia in the news lately due to extensive wildfires, I thought it would be interesting to look back in time with this extraordinary collection of color photographs taken between 1909 and 1912. [more]

The picture of Tblisi c.1910 made me think of this straight away........

Saw these last night. Amazing isn't the word to see colour photographs of such quality and you have to remind yourself that they aren't from the modern day as part of a film set or something.
