Applying for new role in same company

Hey, I just wanted to ask for some advice in relation to a work issue.
Long story short is that I finished my masters last year and got an internship in my dream organisation. I'm happy there, been there 3 months now still learning loads and my contribution is really appreciated by my boss and colleagues.

The problem is that the company has advertised a simmilar porition to mine (but not an internship) in a different country. It suits my career path perfectly, it would definately be the next obvious step for me and I would love to go the the country its in!

Should I voice my interest with my boss, apply for it without saying it, or do nothing and enjoy my great learning internship for the next 6 months and worry about the next step then?
I am very confused, on one hand i feel like I'm doing well and I owe it to my boss to stay for the time period i committed, on the other i'm thinking maybe i'm crazy to not go for every single opportunity available!
    Basically, help!

If you get on well with your boss and he's pleased with your work, then definitely speak to him. He can be an advocate for you with the other country which will improve your chances massively.

Speak to your boss. I would be very bad form to apply without telling him. It's happened a few times in my company where interns applied for jobs within the company and got the job. The original manager has always been very happy for the intern, it reflects very well on them that they supported the intern to progress.

I would say it could even look bad for you if you do not apply. You might not get it, although you have a head start having inside knowledge, but it shows ambition and motivation.
