My Ridley road bike blew a tyre last night as well as the tube. The tyre that came on the bike was the Vredestein tyre.

What shpuld I go for as a replacement??? I see there is good value on this make of tyre as attached

What does anyone think..??? Any other links for Value for Money???

    Thanks

I think these are great tyres at a great price but you really need to buy a couple of sets to to offset the postage charge!

    Thanks Cp3O... but I forgot to say I need size 700 x 23 !!

    Your link shows a a 622 x 24!

Are we 'on the same page' on this???

Must follow the 'sale' to the end to see the postage....€14.95 is a great price..

    Rehards

Difference between 23 and 24 is marginal and if Continental are to be believed the 24s roll better! I use them as my training tyres and so far they've been brilliant! The postage stays the same if you buy a couple of pairs - I bought a pair of GP4000s for the summer as well!

They're essentially the same size. 622mm is the BSD (bead seat diameter), which is a rim dimension. 700mm is the outer tyre diameter.

C3PO.... went with your suggestion ..seem to be fine for my needs (no racing etc... just a few spins weekly to stretch the legs) and as I went throught the process... there is a cheaper option of DHL delivery at €7.95.

So... €37.95 all in for 2 x good looking tyres ...sorted!!!

Many thanks for heads up from everyone....lets see how they hold up !!!
