How often do Garmin update their maps?

    I have a free map update with my new Garmin Nuvi 30, Before I download 2013 maps I would like to know how often do Garmin generally release new maps? Would I be worth waiting until new year before taking advantage of my free map update? Is city navigator 2014 around the cornor?

    It was 2013.30, and I installed mine on the 26th October. Based on previous years, the next one should be out end April / beginning of May.
