    Hi
i am currently on Jobseeker's Allowance , and hope to get on a CE Scheme in the New Year
Currently i am getting 142.60Euro a week - My Partner works and we have a young child aged 2.
Will I get 208euros on the CE Scheme - and will I get 20euro extra for my dependent daughter.

Also will I be entiltilled to any free childcare for the 19.5hours work?

If anyone can help thanks .:)

Hi - If you are getting an increase for your child on your JSA, you will get it when you go onto the CE scheme. Chances are you are not getting an increase as the JSA is means tested where the means coming into the house are deducted from the max JSA payment if your family was totally dependent on JSA ( Personal rate + QA rate + QC rate for each child)

You will get the €208 when you start on the CE scheme

You will not be entitled to free childcare but community creches operate a subvention system for families on low incomes - You can check with your county childcare committee as to where there is a community creche local to you. They will be able to let you know what subvention you would be entitled to and what the daily rate you would have to pay.

As far as I know, the max subvention is granted to people on a SW payment with a FULL medical card

    Hope this helps

Thanks so much - @emg74 - for your quick reply. Total coming into our house a week is apx 342euros - The fas office said I would be more than likely placed on a after school homework assistant job, from 2-6pm apx, Mon-Fri , each week.

I know most creches/playschools are shut by 2 pm, or at least from what I know.
I will have 2-3 afternoon's covered by a family member

We get a Doctor's Visit card - we are not entiletilled to a Full Medical card as we are over household income by apx 4 Euro a week.

    Thanks again for your reply
