Advice on vinyl selection

Hi All

I'm hoping to get a friend some vinyls for Christmas. I want to get some vinyls for producers/artists/whatever you want to call them yourself that we have seen in the last year.

If I list the names, can someone list me some unmissable vinyls they have released? I'm probably going to get them from discogs, but I don't want to spend a massive amount.

Cool idea for a Christmas present. The following is just my opinion.....

I wouldn't be a massive fan of the guys on that list. But having seen Kalkbrenner last year touring with his new stuff I'd say that it's not a patch on the Berlin Calling stuff. If your mate didn't have those, then they'd be cool. But his newer stuff is decidedly meh.

I'd only consider Hawtin's stuff as Plastikman really. And they should be both easy to find and cheap to buy off discogs.
