When recording in pro tools i like to mess around with inbuilt eq's before i touch the record button. Is there a way to print that eq onto the recorded track which i can then add more to after in order to get a good sound?

no outboard eq units to do this with.

Figured this out in the end and will leave the answer here incase anyone needs to know, record it into a aux track with the output set to a bus, then set your eq and compression then record it into a audio track via a bus so the output of the aux is bus 1 the input of the audio track is bus 1 and the eq and compression etc etc prints.
