This is hilarious, read the comments, the poor chap :D

    http://www.reddit.com/r/ireland/comments/13y0jk/driving_in_ireland_as_an_americanthe_irish_have/
Firstly, driving on the other side of the road is wild. Secondly, the roads? HAH. Driving in Ireland was soooo much fun until I had to drive from Killarney to Cork at night. The guy at the hostel said it would be a straight shot, a nice highway back to Cork. Whuuuuu? Not straight! Curvy and windy and dark and scary as hell. Sorry to all the cars stuck behind me, I must have had 15 behind me at one point....but I thought I was going to die! White knuckle the whole way. But I have to give it to you Irish drivers. Better than any American driver any day!

Typical Irish people, telling him the way he 'should' have gone, and the chap is just glad he made it alive :P
we were on the N22. It straightened out when we got closer to Cork. Something about driving in the dark on the wrong side of the road on this incredibly (by American standards I guess!) twisty road invoked fear in me that I had never had while driving!

    I love the photo.
I took similar one few years back, and when I showed it to my mates in Poland, they said it can't be real. It's 100% photoshop work.

I know people like Reddit, but i just cant stand the layout and design, it looks like it was developed in 1995 and never changed. Hate going on to it.

Just 10 years later actually :D

I hate it to, I use RedditSuite to correct that!

Also, in fairness, Boards has been around a LOT longer than that, and it's only slowly moving away from vbulletin now...

Theres a post on the Donegal forum here that shows a road (or dirt track) just like that with the DRIVE ON THE LEFT sign on it.

The first road is the same as any - widish - country road in the UK, or Europe. Or the US. Where has he driven?

But vbulletin works fine for boards . It's not like it's painful to read things on boards. Reddit is close to being unusable tbh.

No it's not, Millions of people are well able to read it!

My point was, it was, 20 years ago...

I'm used to Reddit in it's current format. same way you're used to vBulleting after x years...

I find Reddit excellent to read (along with Hover Zoom for pictures) but I really didn't like it at first either due to the "old" style.

vBulletin version 1 is a lot different to 4.x or even 5.x ... reddit is still stuck on version 1.

Hate to break it to you, but vbulletin (and indeed UBB which boards started on) has been only incrementally upgraded since inception.

Here's an 11 year old version of vbulletin: http://web.archive.org/web/20020408121619/http://boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=9
(ignore the formatting issues, that's archive.org)
