I've a coopers IPA that I want to get going next.
Last time I did this I used the recommended kilo or spraymalt and .5 kilo of brewing sugar and it turned out a tad malty for my taste....anyone got any alternative suggestions...I have some ek goldings and some cascade I might add in some form...what about alternative fermentables such as honey?

hi , id go with 1kg light spraymalt ,maybe 250g dextrose and 30g cascade in muslin bag , near end of ferment or put them in secondary if you use one , Honey is a nice addition but nearly all fermentable , so little flavour is left if you want more flavour do same as hops, boil 200g first with small amount of water to sanitise put in secondary,it can make beer seem drier to the taste, the hops will help mask out malty taste just my 2cent
