That's ridiculous! Nobody should be allowed to do that , The poor child is gonna be bullied all his/her life now , with a name like "Hashtag". It's crazy! She's gonna rebel in her teens and go out with a Facebook-Addict.. :P

My fav is when people actually say 'hashtag' in real life when making a joke.

Could have been worse. Tag is a nice name, as long as the hash gets dropped the kid shouldn't be too affected.

If Twitter goes out of fashion, as an adult people think she was named after a spliff.

When the kid is thirty people won't have a clue what it's about, it'd be like a thirty year old walking around nowadays by the name of "Amstrad" or "Spectrum" or somesuch.

I do like the signature thing though. Instead of her going out with a Faceook addict, I'd prefer if she was an iconic pioneer of the Google+ revolution.

    3) Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116 (Sweden)

No, we didn't fall asleep on the keyboard. That is an actual name a Swedish couple tried to inflict on their son back in 1996. Apparently the name is pronounced 'Albin' (we're not sure how), and the parents chose it as a protest against Sweden's admittedly strict naming laws. Tax authorities must give their blessing to both first and surnames before they can be used.
Has Sweden banned any other names? Oh yes. Some favourites include Metallica, IKEA, Veranda and Q. Google was OK though.

By "fav", I hope you mean "The one which really makes me want to stab people"?

How about Hag-gash? Feminine enough for you?

there really needs to be protection for kids being called ridiculous names like this, these parents are only thinking of themselves and not how the poor kid is going to be treated by her peers.
surely it shoud come under abuse as that is what they are setting her up for.

in years to come people will be like 'hey theres whatsherface...the girl whose named after that ancient website full of failtrolls, stalkers and celebrities posting their latest bowel movements'.
    ah no thanks.
    poor...poor baby.
hopefuly a relative with sense will encourage these silly parents to get the name changed.

But... but... Tag is (ostensibly) a boy's name (rather than a children's game) and the baby is a girl, they might as well have called her Frank.

Poor kid will grow up resenting her parents. I presume a 'grown up' family member will step in here and put an end to this farce. If not I think you have to be 18 before you can legally change your name by Deed Poll.
