Plenty of lego half price at argos

there is something odd going on argos website as some of them are displayed without reduced price or reduction is different, but those are sets that were marked half price when i used their touch panels at the store this morning, jet plane is one of best buys here imo, two different models, 50cm long, nearly 500 pieces for just 19 euro

Trying to use the website is very frustrating today, i keep getting a message to say ''We're currently experiencing a very high volume of visitors to our website'' its been like this since this morning
One of the lego items showed as being available to order for collection but when i cant get a reservation number for it. And none of the items above are showing at the half price until you reserve it.

The discount isn't reflected on their ring and reserve number (01 2161616) for the Jet. I still reserved it, but didn't get the text message yet. Seems like it's not just their website that's having issues.

No there's no date but just for people who buy it every year to note that it will be last years release- so dont buy it again.

Argos have the 2011 one at half price, no matter really?

So the person that said it's the 2011 calendar is correct.

Thanks OP, picked up a couple of advent calendars, the large brick box (you get a free large base plate with it!) and a star wars half price set earlier plus made it up to € 50 with another Christmas present and got the € 5 voucher, so quite the bargain!

For anyone interested in the large box I'd say grab it while you can. Seems to be a miss-price as it's out on the shelf in Liffey Valley with a price tag (defo same catalogue number) saying either € 22.99 or € 23.99. Their system still has the lower price on screen when you buy, but surely it's a mistake....

Actually I now also have a spare code for the plane. Reserved five different Lego items and only picked up four of them in the end. If anyone wants my code PM me. It's for Liffey Valley. Looks like there are none left to reserve in Dublin so might be of use to someone on here. Valid until COB tomorrow.

When I was reserving earlier I got email right away but text took an hour or so to come through. If Lego is reduced I'd say their site always goes mad!:rolleyes:

Bought two of the advent calenders today in Stephen's Green after seeing this thread, one for my 5 year old cousin and one for my 28 year old boyfriend! I love Lego too so can't wait to play with it as well!:D

Lads, there is one of the fire stations available in Wexford Argos if you are quick, there was 2 but I have reserved one ;-) Great value reduced from €75 to only €37.50

edit: 2 available in Kilkenny also.
