Walking Dead official magazine

    Mods, I thought it might be an idea to do a thread on Titan Magazines/Skybound's Official Magazine plus other related Walking Dead material across the written media.

    Has anyone picked up the first issue yet? I think it's really good, there are some interesting features in it. It's probably long overdue in fairness. Good interviews with the likes of Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard and Glen Mazzara. For fans of the novels there's a short story from Jay Bonansinga. I can't really compare it with other TV show official magazines as I haven't read any of them but I'm very impressed with this. There's a nice blend of TV show and comics coverage, and I hope they are able to keep it balanced. It gives us a very good insight into both, which I find very helpful when I'm watching the show or reading the comics.

    I know SFX magazine have their own Walking Dead special, I haven't seen it yet though. SFX, Starburst and SciFi Now magazines have given the show some great coverage, I'd really recommend them all.

    If anyone else sees any good articles, features, reviews, interviews, etc, feel free to mention them so we can all check them out. Thanks.

    Does it have spoilers in it for people that haven't read the comics?
    I'd hate to pick it up and ruin the series by seeing spoilers!

    It's probably best avoided if you are only watching the TV series alright! There's a fair bit of mixing and matching going on which is understandable as it is aimed at people who are fully up to date with both. Have you not read any of the comics?

    No I haven't read any if them. I was never a comic reader when I was growing up so I never came across The Walking Dead until the TV show came out. I just never got into comics. I might give them a read once the show is over though.

    Yes yes yes. Sufficiently different from the TV show that you won't be sure who will live or die but not so far removed that you wont recognize people and locations.
    TV show parallels maybe up to issue 40 at this stage. so it won't have spoilers for whats coming till after that.
