    Deir furmhór na ndaoine (74%) go bhfuil gaeilge éigin acu ach níl líofacht ach ag 4%. Ní theastaíonn ón tromlach go mbeadh an ghaeilge mar phríomhtheanga na tíre cé go mba mhaith leo go mbeidh sí á úsáid níos forleithne.

    Is rud amháin e go deirfidh daoine gur mhaith leo go mbeidh Gaeilge úsáidte go forleathan, agus rud iomlán difriúil go mbeidh sí príomhtheanga na tíre.

    Tá neart buntáistí ag bhaint le líofacht sa Bhéarla, mar sin níl aon iontas orm faoi torthaí an suirbhé seo.
