Sad to see the end of this series, it was nice to have a series where your times were collated - kind of felt like our own version of the "golden league"

I would however agree that it really has served its purpose over the years.
Hope that all 4 races will remain just as popular while standing alone.

Thank you to Ballycotton Running Promotions and all series organisers for their hard work over the past few years.

Shame alright, although personally only did all 4 only the once. Can see Dungarvan, Mallow & obviously Ballycotton being fine, but the one in Clare due to the location & time of year could suffer. Time will tell

The one in Clare is as old as Ballycotton. It never had biggish numbers in the boom as it is the hardest of the 4 so a lot of runners bypass it as its not a PB course. It will always have a core of 150 to 200 runners and I have no doubt the club will continue to run it regardless of the numbers.

Apologies! When I said suffer I meant in terms of numbers rather not going ahead.

Did all four this year and got the long sleeve commemorative t-shirt which I regularly wear on runs out and about. Shame but I can see the reasoning.

Kilnaboy is by far the hardest of all four but I can never understand why that should stop people from running it...Surely there's more to running than just getting a PB every single race?

i've only done, dungarven, ballycotton & kilnaboy, missed mallow and would rank them in that order of ease. kilnaboy is hardcore alright, was over a minute slower & killed me to do that. looking forward to next year, any idea of dates for kilnaboy maybe 7th april? was hoping to do the half in connemara.

Its normally held on the second Sunday in April so the 14th is the most likely date.
