That should do what it says. Some sites may not ship to Ireland.

In case you don't know that box will not pick up any Irish channels. It also needs a cable from a satellite dish.

Yeah thanks, was aware of that as I have this one already at home. But was wondering is there a cheaper one that anybody knows of wit USB PVR?

Otherwise i might just go for this http://www.amazon.co.uk/GBR2851T-Freeview-Digital-Receiver-iPlayer/dp/B00524YSYS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1354119184&sr=8-3

which has no pvr option but is about half the price! It won't ship to Ireland but can use parcel motel.

great point! don't know how i missed that... Why do they come up when you do a search for freesat on amazon.... some adds are intentionally misleading on ebay like this one which is just free view http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Televes-Zas-HD-FTA-Freesat-HD-Reciever-With-USB-PVR-/280733530187?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123

Complained to them about it. You have to keep your wits about you or you could get caught out. Could have easily bought that one, thanks a lot!

Looks like this is the cheapest non pvr one so....http://www.amazon.co.uk/Humax-Digital-Satellite-Set-Top/dp/tech-data/B00264GX40/ref=de_a_smtd

    they're pricey enough!

yeah i know but not sure i can afford the record feature.....so thinking i might settle for the non pvr model....unsure I love mammy that much! yeah she has a dish in place so least i've none of that to do! Just so annoying the way sations change transponders and they don't re tune on free to view......any time i call over to visit i end up scanning for stations etc. I spend so long at that i don't have time to sort out her laptop problems, router, iphone and ipod!
