Query about FIS

I was on Maternity Benefit, I got paid my last payment the 13th November, my maternity leave officially ended on Thursday 15th. So as of Friday 16th I was technically back in work, but I usually get 3 days off so work and so I was given the 16th, 17th and 18th off and returned Monday the 19th properly. I worked Monday the 19th, Tuesday the 20th, Thursday the 22nd and Saturday the 24th. I worked 30 hours over those days. I won't be paid again until Friday the 30th as I have to work a week in hand.

I have applied for FIS and have a date already, I am just wondering if the fact that I didn't go back to work until the 19th will affect this. Will I need to re-apply? I didn't take extended leave, I was just given those as my days off by work. My normal working week is Monday-Friday, so I'm assuming because I was on maternity leave up until Thursday that those days counted as being "worked" and that I didn't need to clock 19 hours over the weekend? Is it okay since the following week (where I had no maternity benefit) I was well over the 19 hour minimum? Sorry if this is confusing and hope somebody can clarify this for me! Thanks.

You should have received a letter when from the Maternity Benefit people telling you when your Maternity Benefit was due to end. That's your official back to work date even if you have holidays/days off after that. I'm in the same situation -- Maternity Benefit ends 31st December but because of leave built up I don't actually start work again until the end of January.

It shouldn't make any difference in terms of FIS, though, as you're still entitled to FIS when you're on Maternity Benefit.
