posting/shipping to canada

    If i send a sat nav to canada,will there be tax due on it at the canadian end. It was left behind by my brother,and are expensive to buy in canada.

    Make sure you stick a letter in with it, along the lines of "here is your sat nav that you left behind".

    If it's not in a box with packaging, it's unlikely to be stopped over there. Also, if it was bought by your brother, if he has his receipts for it, he can show that no tax/duty is due (assuming he bought it over there).

    It was originally bought in the usa.
