Trek 2000 Value?

    Hi All,

Thinking of changing the bike through the bike to work scheme. I currently have a Trek 2000 (bought in '06 I think). I was talking to one guy who told me I would be lucky to get €200 for it, a bit low I thought.

With the €1000 on the scheme would I even get a bike near the same spec as the Trek?

Would a cycle shop do a trade or has anyone heard of anyone upgrading their bike through the scheme, ie keep the bike but put new wheels/groupset on it?

    Cheers in advance.

    10sp Ultegra? Carbon stays? €200?

    That's not right.

If this is your bike, and is in reasonable condition, It's worth more than 200 euro. I would have thought about 350- 400, to be closer to the mark.

The BTW scheme is for bikes only, you could not legally upgrade the parts on your present bike.

maybe better to keep it as a training bike and work from there then?
