Heating coming on with Hot Water

Hi, We have a gas boiler in an apartment. The heating is coming on when we turn on the hot water. We have a siemens programmer and 3 port mid-position zone valve. The hot water and central heating have separate buttons for hot water and central heating. Attached are some images. Could it be that the zone valve is stuck…

Hi,

We have a gas boiler in an apartment.

Could it be that the zone valve is stuck open or something like that?

Yes valve is mostly likely stuck in mid position. Either debris or faulty unit. If the latter, a replacement head is only required.
