Eirpoker is delighted to announce the commencement of a NLHE Double Chance Tourney every Thursday @ 8pm from Thursday the 29th of November 2012.

We run a Successful Rebuy Tourney on Monday Nights in the same Hotel.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056723044

The new Thursday Night Tourney is for players that prefer a Freezeout Format.

    Buy in: €50 + €10 reg.

Double Chance - $10k starting stack plus $10k stack any time after first hand is dealt.

Registration starts at 7.30pm, tournament starts strictly at 8pm, buy in up to end of level 6.

    20 Minute Clock

    Dealer Dealt

    Complimentary food at first break.

Full bar facilities available from floor staff.

Students receive 50% discount on registration fee on production of current valid Student ID.

€20 Sit 'n' Go's Side Games on the night from the break.

Usually our cash games on Monday nights are lively and deep. ROE NLHE and PLO. Crazy stuff!

But our Thursday night cash games will be milder and will start at 50c/€1 with a minimum buy in of €25.

Cash tables open until 6am so plenty of time for a decent cash game.

    Rake 5% capped at €15.

Thanks to everybody that played the first Thursday Night Game in Bewleys Hotel, Leopardstown.

10 players... not too bad considering it was advertised at short notice.

Congrats to Paul McAuley the winner of our first thursday tourney.

We will be running a special Christmas Tourney on Thursday the 27th December instead of the usual thursday tourney.

Same structure as the regular thursday games expect an early start at 5pm and the buy in is €90 plus €10 reg.

We expect a lot of interest in this game given the time of year and it is limited to 50 players.

PM or text to reserve a seat.

We will also have a Sunday rebuy tourney on Sunday the 30th December at 5pm......

Yes, €100 double chance with $10k/$10k stacks as work the next day may not be an issue for most players. Try to give as much value in the structure as possible.

The regular Thursday Tourney Double Chance stacks will be tweaked over the next few weeks until we get it right. eg: the tourney gives as much play as possible while allowing for players that have to work on friday mornings.

We hope to have it right by the new year when we will introduce a Guarantee and a 20 week league.

Should be down to pick up the prize money for this.

Actually Frank can you stick my name down for this one, Jason F.

Would a tournament with an alternating NLHE/PLO structure ever be possible? If you have the cash games set up this way I'm sure you'd get some interest in a ROE tourney.

Definitely interested running in this type of tournament. I personally love ROE. The Lessons that need to be learnt can be expensive in cash games.

I would definitely run a Round of Each, NLHE and PLO Tournament if there was enough interest.

    Second week and 11 players.

Thanks to every one who attended.

The tournament structure gave plenty of play and finished at 12.20am.

Congrats to the winner Hugh D'arcy.

Is there a game on the 20th? Might be able to make it down that night, also where is the poker is it in the meeting rooms down stairs or in the bar area?

There will be no further Thursday Tourneys during December 2012

Without a Guarantee not enough players were supporting the game.

The tourney will be back in January 2012 with a Guaranteed Prize Pool.

Is the game on the 27th not going ahead either?
