New TV & problem with live pause.

The sis got a new Panasonic TV today and has a Sky sub. Just to point out also that she has some sort of "box" in her words at the back of the telly for Saorview which I assume is an indoor aerial of some sort or other as the telly is Saorview approved. Sky box connected to TV via HDMI cable and a scart lead connects this Saorview "aerial" to the TV.

Anyhows the main problem she has is that when she presses the live pause while viewing a Sky channel the circular blue light appears on the Sky box which is normal but the picture doesn't pause though.

Another little problem is that she cant access teletext.

Any ideas as to what the issue might be?

to get telextext she will need to connect a scart cable from the box to the tv, and select the scart connection on the tv,as HDMI does not carry analog text , u will then need to use the sky remote and hit tv, and then the text button or use the tv's own remote and hit text.

As regard your pause issue have u tried resetting the box by unplugging it?

I think she may have tried it with the tv remote but didnt work but its probably something simple.

As she is using the old "card trick" she did reboot the box earlier today when the tv was being set up for her but I have advised her to do another reboot.

Apologies if Im a little vague but Im in Donegal and she's in Dublin so all this was relayed to me over the phone and her descriptions can be a little out at times although she is adamant about the live pause not working or at least not displaying on screen.

I'll ring her again tomorrow and see how she got on with the reboot.

Thanks for the reply btw :)

netime mate as I said she has to use a scart and goto the scart connection on the tv, e.g av1 to see the text it will not come through on Hdmi which is ridiculous as they should be adding the digital text by now and use the red button to access it...
